FINISswim.com Web Design
Beginning in 2018 the Marketing, Design, and Web teams made it a goal to revamp the FINISswim.com website to give it a fresh new look in an effort to gain and maintain customers. Our main goals were to raise brand awareness, drive web sessions, raise conversion rates, and lower bounce rates. We also needed to fix many issues that made the site not mobile friendly. At this point we have completely remade the homepage and we also created the FINIS Community, using Wordpress. It was my role to design the look and experience and then work closely with the Web team to implement the designs. Final results can be seen at FINISswim.com.

Swim Coach Communicator App Design
The Swim Coach Communicator is a great tool that allows coaches to speak directly to their swimmers from the FINIS Live app on their smartphone to a Bluetooth® receiver on the swimmer’s head. Coaches don’t like to waste valuable practice time so the app needed to be clear and simple to use. Once initial set up of the device has taken place there’s only one main page of the app which features the microphone that signifies how the coach will speak to the swimmer. The goal in my design of this screen was to create a visual that signified to the user that this was where they speak but also that interaction was necessary. After many microphone concepts I finally settled on a design that blended old and new–a retro microphone containing an on/off switch that functioned like most switches in modern smartphones.
